Tesla Cybertruck is ‘incredibly inexpensive’ to bring to production, says making professional

Tesla Cybertruck might be “extremely inexpensive” to give production, thanks to its novel body innovation, according to a production expert.

Sandy Munro is a manufacturing expert who rose to fame in the Tesla neighborhood after his breakdown of an early Model 3.

At first, he made many undesirable remarks about Tesla before changing his tune and acknowledging the car manufacturer’s lead in electric lorry production

Now Munro is turning his attention to the Tesla Cybertruck, despite the fact that the engineer has never ever actually had access to the vehicle.

Rather, he is going off what Tesla has exposed about the upcoming electrical pickup, like the reality that it’s geared up with a structural body shell:

Cybertruck is constructed with an exterior shell produced ultimate resilience and passenger security. Starting with an almost impenetrable exoskeleton, every element is developed for exceptional strength and endurance, from Ultra-Hard 30 X Cold-Rolled stainless-steel structural skin to Tesla armor glass.

Munro states that integrating the body with the platform and the lack of paint must result in a considerable decrease in capital expenditure to bring the automobile to production.

He has actually tossed some numbers around like ~$30 million of capital needed to establish the production of 50,000 trucks versus $210 million for the Ford F-150

While the engineer doesn’t have enough detail to offer an extensive analysis, his comments were insightful enough to get the nod from Tesla CEO Elon Musk:

Munro’s analysis of Tesla engineering is accurate, both pro & con. I believe he will value some components of the Model Y body design.

Despite The Fact That Design Y shares most of its parts with Design 3, the design is still supposed to feature some intriguing manufacturing improvements, and it will go into production before the Tesla Cybertruck.
