21 States Decline $18 Billion Deal From Drug Wholesalers to Settle Opioid Litigation

An $18 billion settlement deal from 3 major drug wholesalers targeted at resolving lawsuits over their alleged function in the opioid crisis appears to have fallen apart, after more than 20 state attorneys general declined it in a letter sent out to the business’ law practice today.

The letter, examined by The Wall Street Journal, shows that the drug market hasn’t won sufficient assistance from states to start moving the sprawling lawsuits to a worldwide resolution.
