Qatar Airways Flagship Business Class Lounge in Doha

And while Qatar offers a level of luxury in the sky, it’s hardly any various on the ground.

A “drifting concierge” was stationed in front of the art installation at all times.

She was a wealth of info for any– and I truly imply any– questions tourists might have. What they were serving in the restaurant, where the bathrooms lay, what gate your flight was altered to, just how much time you have prior to boarding your flight, for how long the walk is to your gate– she understood everything. She was fantastic.

The bi-level lounge is, in a word, enormous. According to the Qatar Airways website, it uses up a quantity of space equivalent to ten Olympic-sized swimming pools.

That’s partially thanks to the lounge’s high ceilings and lack of strong walls, which make it feel even larger.

I found a number of travelers sitting around the soothing reflection pond.

There are plenty of seats throughout the lounge. The only stress I felt on that front was choosing where to park myself, since there were at least a dozen available areas. I ended up going to the back of the lounge, where each seat had a devoted tablet.

Most of the seats in the lounge have their own power outlets and USB ports for practical phone charging. While the lounge has a dedicated luggage storage area, there’s also a dedicated space in between seats where you can keep your bags.

Most of the seats are in the middle of the lounge, enclosed by glass partitions to boost privacy. There was a selection of water, tea, and other beverages simply a couple of steps away from all the seating locations.

Here’s another look at the center of the lounge. It’s on a raised platform, which added to the trendy style.

I selected a seat by the window. It supplied a terrific aerial viewpoint of the lounge.

The buffet had a range of meals, from cold pastas and salads to rice and pork chops and chicken. It wasn’t great dining by any means, however it struck all the right areas.

The lounge offered the perfect sanctuary for my stopover. No one says that ever about an airport lounge, so Qatar is doing something.
