How GM’s director of development is assisting the business go beyond cars

As head of the development at the US’ largest car manufacturer, she and her team are charged with believing outside of the box to resolve problems not resolved by GM’s “vehicle core,” which makes up 89%of its overall company.

But to make sure the development system isn’t simply a marketing effort or a PR feel-good story for the company, there’s a clear required: It requires to meaningfully add to GM’s top line.

” If we’re going to contribute anything significant to the company’s top line, that’s a large number,” Kuhn, who is 41 and previously worked in speaking with functions and as a Starbucks executive, informed Organisation Insider.

Luckily, the business seems focused on a world where automobiles, and the market for them, are radically various than in the past century.

It’s nearly poetic, provided the revival of an old, gas-guzzling name for a new, cleaner future.

This kind of electric shift is something every automaker has actually voiced in some manner.
