Tesla is beginning to launch a brand-new over-the-air software application upgrade with a lot of small new features and improvements, consisting of brand-new Autopilot visualization in a number of markets.

In 2020, Tesla has slowed its roll when it comes to software application updates.

We reported on one yesterday, but it just affects a fairly small number of just recently constructed Model S and Design X cars.

Now Tesla is beginning to push a brand-new and more significant update: 2020.8, which looks like the most significant upgrade of the year up until now.

Third-party battery chargers navigation

When it comes to third-party charging station being displayed on the in-car map and navigation system, It’s something that was initially reported in Europe last month.

With growing third-party charging networks, Tesla has actually begun helping owners navigate to them, and not only the Supercharger and Location charging stations.

It specifically makes good sense in Europe where Tesla vehicles have access to growing networks of CCS DC quick chargers, but Tesla is now apparently likewise beginning to push the feature in the US, starting in California.

The upgrade comes after Tesla made a deal with EVgo to have its proprietary port straight at their station without an adapter.

The brand-new software application update ought to be pushed to all Model 3 Efficiency automobiles.

Bluetooth improvements

For the Bluetooth improvements, Green shared the release notes he discovered in the code:

To improve the audio shift from phone-to-car when entering your automobile, Bluetooth now connects to your paired phone just after you are sitting in the motorist’s seat and all doors are closed. As a pointer, you can combine your phone to Bluetooth by touching the Bluetooth icon on the top of your touchscreen and after that ‘Include New Gadget.’

This is actually a function that was recommended to Elon Musk on Twitter in order to avoid having your phone link to your car while you’re around it however not in it.
