The sprawling Hamptons home of the late James H. Evans, the onetime chairman of railway giant Union Pacific, has sold to an unknown buyer for $45 million, according to 2 people familiar with the deal. The deal is the largest to have closed in the Hamptons so far this year, said appraiser Jonathan Miller.
