As New York recorded its largest single-day overall of deaths from the novel coronavirus, Gov. Andrew Cuomo stated Friday he would enact a new procedure to support hospitals by moving ventilators to those centers with the biggest requirements.
Mr. Cuomo, a Democrat, said the state tape-recorded 562 deaths over the past 24 hours, its highest daily total because the rise of the pandemic.
