  • New York again saw its greatest one-day increase in coronavirus deaths, Gov. Andrew Cuomo said on Tuesday.
  • The state recorded 731 deaths given that Monday.

    Here are the other biggest takeaways from Cuomo’s everyday update:

    • New York accounts for approximately half of all the coronavirus deaths in the United States, with 5,489 considering that the outbreak started.
    • State health officials said they’ll have a breakdown of the racial variations in hospital admissions and deaths at some point this week.
    • Cuomo said he will sign an executive order on Tuesday that imposes a $1,000 fine for breaking social distancing rules.
