National Public Radio is planning substantial cost cuts as the coronavirus pandemic hits sponsorship and contribution revenue, the public broadcaster’s president, John Lansing, stated in a memo to personnel.
NPR is dealing with a budget deficit of in between $30 million and $45 million through its 2021 fiscal year, Mr. Lansing said in the Wednesday memo.
