Frustrations rise as states start to reopen
Telsa CEO Elon Musk continued to defy California and Alameda County authorities by restarting production at the business’s Fremont assembly plant Monday, stating he was all set to be detained himself if needed, CBS San Francisco reported The announcement came days after Musk submitted a lawsuit against the county to reopen the factory, which is Tesla’s only vehicle assembly plant in the U.S.
Shift employees were seen streaming in and out of the sprawling plant in the pre-dawn hours, filling up the worker parking lot.
Monday afternoon, Musk stated production was certainly rebooting at the Fremont center. “Tesla is restarting production today against Alameda County guidelines,” he tweeted “I will be on the line with everybody else. If anybody is jailed, I ask that it just be me.”

Previously Monday, Guv Gavin Newsom said he was uninformed that the Telsa plant had restarted operations.
