Hong Kong Protesters, Police Clash Again After Lull Brought by Coronavirus

HONG KONG—- Riot authorities utilized pepper spray to clear demonstrators from a mall Friday, the first clash in months as the city’s antigovernment movement sought to revive protests after a lull during the coronavirus pandemic.

After police prohibited the annual May Day protest arranged by trade unions, riot officers were out in force throughout the city, which has imposed a law prohibiting more than four people collecting as part of social-distancing efforts to deal with the infection.
