WASHINGTON– A senior economic advisor to President Trump said Sunday the U.S. needs to stop supplying a $600- a-week increase in welfare instituted in response to the coronavirus pandemic and replace it with a smaller sized bonus offer for workers who go back to their tasks.
Larry Kudlow, director of the White House National Economic Council, stated the fringe benefits may be discouraging some Americans from returning to work as companies reopen across the country.
