The largest protests sparked by the killing of George Floyd remained mostly serene across the U.S. this weekend, as pushed organizers said they didn’t plan to stop rallying till they saw concrete changes in cops policy.
From New York to Los Angeles, and in cities of all sizes in between, protesters asked officials to defund authorities departments and reroute those funds to other programs. They required prohibiting cops chokeholds and revamping law-enforcement training programs.
