The FDA Is Examining an Outbreak of Cyclospora Likely Connected to Bagged Salads

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) are investigating a break out “likely” tied to bagged salads sold at Aldi, Jewel-Osco, and Hy-Vee.

The companies issued an alert late last week cautioning clients that Little Salad Bar Brand Name Garden Salad from Aldi, Hy-Vee Brand Garden Salad from Hy-Vee, and Signature Farms Brand Name Garden Salad from Jewel-Osco are thought to be tied to a break out of Cyclospora. The Jewel-Osco Signature Farms Brand Garden Salads were offered in Illinois, Indiana, and Iowa and the Aldi Little Salad Bar Brand Garden Salad was offered at stores in Iowa, Illinois, Minnesota, and Missouri.
