While many of their peers closed shop as soon as shelter-in-place orders went into result, some dining establishment owners employed their personnel, their accounting professionals, the tech assistance at cloud-based restaurant management start-ups, and the salesmen at delivery platforms like Uber Eats and DoorDash, to determine how to pivot effectively to delivery and takeout.
It hasn’t been easy, and the difficulties simply keep coming.
