When the FBI revealed the charges submitted against Ghislaine Maxwell earlier this month, authorities stated the long time Jeffrey Epstein associate was “detained without event.”
Recently submitted court documents, though, say that Maxwell attempted to run away FBI representatives who reached her estate on July 2.
” As the representatives approached the front door to the primary house they revealed themselves as FBI agents and directed the offender to unlock,” district attorneys wrote in a filing Monday. “Through a window, the agents saw the offender neglect the direction to open the door and, rather, attempt to flee to another space in your house, quickly shutting another door behind her.”
” Agents were ultimately required to breach the door” of Maxwell’s $ 1 million New Hampshire home, which was bought in money, and took her into custody, the filing said.
A grand-jury indictment from the US Lawyer’s Workplace for the Southern District of New York City, that includes Manhattan, implicates Maxwell of luring minors to travel to participate in sexual acts, transport of a small with intent to participate in sexual acts, and perjury.

The charges stem from accusations that Maxwell groomed 3 young women for sexual abuse by Epstein and herself.
District attorneys are asking for that Maxwell, who is being housed at a Brooklyn detention center, be held without bail. They have tried to distance Maxwell from Epstein and used the coronavirus break out in their argument for why she ought to be permitted bail.
In their action, prosecutors released the filing, which stated Maxwell tried to avoid police in current months.
