A federal judge cast doubt on Bayer AG’s proposition to neatly resolve all future lawsuits over the safety of its Roundup weedkiller, possibly snagging the German business’s attempts to move past the huge liability.
Bayer said just recently it would pay up to $109 billion to settle 10s of thousands of present Roundup cases and develop a system for managing future cases.
