  A Wisconsin guy kept his pledge 28 years later on by splitting $22 million jackpot with his good friend.

  NBC reported that Thomas Cook and Joseph Feeney shook hands and made a pact in 1992 that they would split the Powerball lottery winnings, regardless of who won.

  According to the report, Prepare acquired the $22 million winning ticket at a Menomonie, Wisconsin gasoline station in June.

  Throughout an interview with the Wisconsin Lottery on Thursday, Cook discussed how both he and his partner froze when they realized he had the winning ticket.

  In the interview, Feeney described the pair’s contract.

  ” We stated whenever the big winner comes, we’re going to divide it,” Feeney said.

  ” That occurred numerous years earlier,” Cook reacted.

  The duo does not have huge strategies with their new fortune, but they are eagerly anticipating retiring and hanging out with their household.

  ” I can’t consider a much better way to retire,” stated Cook.

  According to NBC’s report, in a Wisconsin Lotto news release, Prepare and Feeney selected the money choice of $167 million which has to do with $5.7 million each after state and federal taxes.
