The moms and dad company of century-old women’s garments brand New York & Co. has declared personal bankruptcy protection and prepares to liquidate all its stores after being hurt by forced closures and supply-chain concerns throughout the coronavirus pandemic.
New York-based specialized retailer RTW Retailwinds Inc., which likewise owns the Fashion to Figure and Delighted x Nature brand names, applied for chapter 11 security on Monday in the U.S. Personal Bankruptcy Court in Newark, N.J., noting properties of about $405 million against nearly $450 million in debt.
