CEO Elon Musk firmly insists that Tesla is seeing “strong” need throughout the entire pandemic and the CEO associates this success to Tesla’s online orders.
Throughout Tesla’s last earnings call, Musk firmly insisted that shareholders and experts should not worry about demand regardless of the vehicle market as an entire seeing a major downturn amidst the pandemic.
The CEO duplicated several times that “need is not a problem” which it “outmatches supply” at the minute.
Now in a interview on the Daily Drive Automotive News podcast, Musk repeated that Tesla is seeing “strong orders”:
” We saw strong orders through the entire pandemic, we still had a good order volume. I think individuals are less likely to wish to go to a dealer, do the test drive and hang out in the lobby and that example.”
Tesla has been banking on web sales for a while.
