U.S. Jobless Claims Fell to 1.2 Million in Aug. 1 Week

Filings for jobless advantages fell to their most affordable level considering that the coronavirus hit the U.S. in March– a sign layoffs eased rather in a still struggling labor market– however stayed at historically high levels for the 20 th straight week.
