The American Airlines guest whose video of a man punching the back of her reclined seat went viral today is now threatening to take legal action against the airline company.

Wendi Williams’ video revealing a fellow passenger shaking her headrest with repeated fist jabs on a Jan. 31 flight from New Orleans to Charlotte made the rounds on social networks after she published a video of the occurrence to Twitter on Feb. 8.

Now Williams, who declares she was hurt in the occurrence, seeks American Airlines– because the business informed TMZ she overturned the male’s beverage, an accusation she denies, the chatter site reported Saturday.

Williams alleges the statement was defamatory and the flight attendant’s comments to her on the aircraft were slanderous– all premises for a suit, she claims.

” @AmericanAir Please avoid putting any blame about what took place to me on your awful airline with your rude flight attendant! And if I inadvertently spilled a drink on the “man”– I had NO idea that took place. Who said it did @AmericanAir?” Williams tweeted Friday.

American Airlines is reportedly refusing to acquiesce Williams’ pressure, and stated she called Thursday looking for payment, a source informed TMZ. She consulted with an attorney the next day, she told the gossip site.

The video racked up 2.4 million views by Thursday, and stimulated a dispute about who’s the larger jerk– the puncher or the poster? Social media users siding with the unnamed male explained that he was in the last seat on the plane, which does not recline, so Williams leaning back would have cut into his already-limited space.

Williams said the airline company safeguarded the man and handed her a “passenger disturbance notice” when she declined to stop recording on her cellphone. She ultimately complied, but chose to post the video to social networks after “tiring every chance for #American Airlines to do the right thing,” she tweeted.
