Federal stimulus cash for airline companies is keeping them afloat through the coronavirus pandemic, but it’s not showing to be sufficient to sustain the market at its pre-pandemic size.
Providers state they will have to shrink, with less aircrafts flying, less flights and fewer staff members come Oct. 1, after limitations related to their stimulus cash end. Airlines will likely require to park 20%of their aircrafts and cut their pilot labor forces in equal step, Cowen expert Helane Becker approximated in a recent research note.
