Amazon Indications New Collaboration With Slack

  • Software company Slack Technologies Inc (NYSE: WORK) just recently announced it signed a brand-new offer with online retail giant Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ: AMZN)

The multiple-year deal involves Amazon Web Provider (AWS) using Slack’s software platform for employees. And Slack will move its voice and video calling innovation from the Slack Calls include to Amazon Chime.

” Strategically partnering with AWS allows both companies to scale to meet demand and provide enterprise-grade offerings to our consumers,” stated Stewart Butterfield, CEO and co-founder of Slack. “By integrating AWS services with Slack’s channel-based messaging platform, we’re assisting teams quickly and effortlessly handle their cloud facilities projects and launch cloud-based services without ever leaving Slack.”

Amazon and Slack currently had an existing cloud computing partnership. The Slack chat application is delivered through AWS. And now Slack is tapping into Amazon as its preferred partner for cloud computing, storage, databases, security, analytics, machine learning, and so on

” Together, AWS and Slack are offering designer teams the ability to team up and innovate much faster on the front end with applications, while giving them the ability to efficiently manage their backend cloud infrastructure,” added Andy Jassy, CEO at Amazon Web Services (AWS).

It’s worth pointing out Amazon is not Slack’s greatest partner. IBM recently said it is rolling Slack out for its 350,000 staff members.

This offer appears to be strategic as Amazon and Slack both extremely contend against Microsoft. Slack straight completes versus the Microsoft Teams platform.
