CA orders Second County to close several organisations, halt indoor operations
Second County will stop indoor operations and close several organisations starting Sunday after an order was issued by State Public Health Officer Dr. Sonia Angell.The California Department of Public Health launched a watchlist of counties with raised disease transmission rates, increased hospitalization or limited medical facility capability. Second County was contributed to that list Thursday.Any county that stays on the watchlist for at least three days should close numerous organisations for a minimum of 3 weeks. All brewpubs, breweries, bars and clubs need to close both indoor and outdoor operations, unless they are using sit down, dine-in meals that meet state guidance.The following companies in Second County need to either shift to outdoor operations or close beginning Sunday for a minimum of three weeks: Dine-in restaurants Wineries and Tasting Rooms Family Home Entertainment Centers Film Theaters Zoos and Museum CardroomsPlacer County has a 22.4%increase in its 3-day COVID-19 hospitalization average and has 19.6%of ICU beds available, according to state data. The state limits for the categories is greater than a 10%increase and less than 20%schedule for ICU beds, respectively.As of Saturday, Placer County Public Health reports 1,055 validated cases and 11 deaths related to coronavirus. There are 35 patients hospitalized and six clients in the ICU.On Tuesday, Second County Health Director Dr. Aimee Sisson stated Placer County has seen a current rise in cases.As of Saturday, there are 29 counties on the state’s COVID-19 watchlist.

The following services in Placer County must either shift to outside operations or close beginning Sunday for a minimum of 3 weeks:

- Wineries and Tasting Spaces
- Family Entertainment Centers
- Motion Picture Theaters
- Zoos and Museum
- Cardrooms
Placer County has a 22.4%increase in its 3-day COVID-19 hospitalization average and has 19.6%of ICU beds available, according to state information
As of Saturday, Placer County Public Health reports 1,055 confirmed cases and 11 deaths related to coronavirus.
On Tuesday, Placer County Health Director Dr. Aimee Sisson said Second County has actually seen a recent surge in cases.
